Demerara syrup Good
Adds light molasses depth.
If the demerara syrup is rich (2:1), use about two thirds as much.
Sugar Workable
Same flavour; harder to dissolve in a cold, shaken drink.
Dissolve roughly 1 tsp sugar per ¼ oz syrup in the citrus before adding spirits.
